Using Free Fat Injections for Penile Enhancement Procedures

Disadvantages

Using a patient’s own fat is one of the safest methods for increasing penile length and girth. This is because using one owns fats presents the least danger of rejection by the body. Patients however who undergo Free Fat injections complain of permanency of the procedures as improvements are often lost over time.

Subcutaneous Penile Implants Versus Autologous Fat Injections
Enlarging one’s penile size is a subject which is not openly or readily discussed, even between men. This is one topic that continues to trouble men as penile size is often associated with their masculinity by many people. Self confidence is important in sustaining a long lasting relationship, and enhancing ones penile appearance can go a long way towards improving intimacy.

There are many advertisements promoting their products as a quick and easy solution for penile enlargement, but their results have never been medically proven. Subcutaneous Penile Implants and Autologous Fat Injections are two of the more popular treatments for enhancing penile length and girth. But before making any decision, let us first look at what these methods have to offer.

What are Autologous Fat Injections?

An Autologous Fat Injection is a procedure where fat is taken from the patient’s body and re-injected into the penile area in an attempt to increase length and/or girth. The goal of this procedure is to increase tissue volume in the penile area, thus giving it a fuller and longer appearance.

Advantages of Subcutaneous Penile Implants vs. Autologous Fat Injections

The FDA (Federal Drug Administration) is the government agency charged with approving medical and surgical procedures in the U.S.A.. Subcutaneous Penile Implants are currently the only FDA approved procedure for penile enlargement. This procedure has been demonstrated to be relatively safe and very effective, and should be performed by licensed urologists and surgeons.

Autologous Fat Injections have been widely used for various cosmetic surgeries. This type of medical procedure has been used for simple face lifts and can help hide the effects of aging temporarily. The use of Autologous Fat Injections for penile enhancement however is still relatively new. Unlike Subcutaneous Penile Implants, Autologous Fat Injections are not FDA approved.

Men who want to undergo penile enhancement through Autologous Fat Injections might also want to consider the long term side effects of this procedure. Penile retraction and deformity, fat absorption, lumps and nodules are just some of this procedure’s side effects due to the fact that the fat is not vascularized and almost always reabsorbs into the body or forms into hardened lumps and nodules that negatively effect the appearance and function of the penis.

There are many procedures and techniques promising men enhanced penile length and/or girth. The recent increase in penile enhancement procedures is largely due to the growing demands of men who wish to improve their penile size and appearance. While there are many products and techniques which promise men greater penile size, most of them are scientifically unproven and potentially dangerous.

Below you will find a comparison between Dermal Injectables, which is a common method for penile enhancement, and Subcutaneous Penile Implants, which is the only FDA approved penile enhancement procedure.

Dermal Injectables

Using Dermal Injectables for increasing penile length and girth is a relatively new method. This procedure is similar to other cosmetic surgeries and enhancement methods where a dermal filler material is used to “fill in” voids and spaces, thus eliminating wrinkles or stretching aging skin. Improved penile length and girth is temporarily achieved by filling in pockets and compartments within the penis producing increased tissue volumes in the short term.

Subcutaneous Penile Implant vs. Dermal Injectables

Subcutaneous Penile Implant surgery is the only FDA approved method for increasing penile size. Subcutaneous Penile Implant surgery has become common during the last several years and thousands of patients who wish to enhance their penile size undergo this procedure annually. The FDA has provided guidelines for this type of surgery, which has been proven effective with minimal side effects.

While the use of Dermal Injectables for certain specific cosmetic surgical procedures is FDA approved, using this technique for penile enlargement is not. The effects of Dermal Injectables vary, with some patients reporting serious complications as a result of the procedure.

The main complications from using Dermal Injectables in comparison to Subcutaneous Penile Implants are their unpredictable and drastically inconsistent results. Improvements in length and girth are often lost in just a couple of weeks as dermal filler materials are lost through shrinkage and absorption, or when the materials escape to surrounding tissues. Undergoing Dermal Injectable procedures for penile enhancement also requires numerous visits to your doctor. This is necessary because desired results from the procedure are most often not accomplished during the first surgery. Results are often described as “hit or miss” as dermal fillers typically do not perform similarly for every patient.

Every year thousands of men undergo various penile enlargement procedures. Two of the most popular procedures for penile enlargement are Subcutaneous Penile Implant surgery and Alloderm grafts. Both of these procedures promise improved penile length and girth for men who wish to improve their size and appearance. While both can be effective in improving penile length and girth, both procedures have their own benefits and disadvantages. Below is a quick comparison of what these procedures have to offer in order to help you decide which procedure best suits your needs.

Alloderm Grafts

This is a procedure where penile length and girth gains are sought by implanting tissue harvested from human cadavers into the penis. Tissues are collected from a compatible dead donor and transplanted into a patient wishing to increase their penile size. The effects and mixed results of Alloderm grafts are similar to certain other types of grafts, injections and implants where increased length and girth is sought by adding penile tissue volume.

Advantages of Subcutaneous Penile Implant compared to Alloderm Grafts

FDA Approved

Subcutaneous Penile Implants are the only FDA and medically approved procedure for increasing and improving the size and appearance of the penis. The FDA is charged with regulating the medical and drug industries, and has approved the use of Subcutaneous Penile Implant surgery as a medically proven method of increasing penile size.

The use of Alloderm grafts as a procedure for increasing penile size is relatively new. Unlike Subcutaneous Penile Implants, which have been used for years, the use of Alloderm grafts and their long term effects on the body is still being studied. Furthermore, the company that manufactures Alloderm grafts (Lifecell) specifically recommends against using Alloderm grafts for penile enlargement surgery.

Frequency

Every year, thousands of men in the U.S.A. undergo penile enlargement surgery. Subcutaneous Penile Implant surgeries make up more than half of all penile enlargement procedures. This is largely because of the high success rate of Subcutaneous Penile Implants. Doctors and Urologists also prefer this method because of the proven track record of safety and effectiveness associated with Subcutaneous Penile Implants.

There are a lot of devices on the market today promising men bigger penile size and stronger erections. Vacuum Pumps are only one of these devices which promise to increase the size of the penis. A quick glimpse at the immediate results of using these types of devices might make you believe that they really work. But before we draw any conclusions, let us first take a look at the different factors that determine if these devices really deliver what they promise.

How do Vacuum’s work

Vacuum Constriction Devices (VCD) have been widely prescribed as a medical device for men suffering from erectile dysfunction. The application of vacuums for increasing penile length and or girth, however, has not been clinically proven.

The Vacuum Constrictor Device consists of a cylinder with a pump attached to it. The pump is usually located at the end of the vacuum and the pumping action allows blood to rush into the different blood compartments within the penis. This rush of blood allows for temporarily stronger erections. When the penis reaches its maximum size, a ring is slipped from the cylinder onto the bottom of the penile shaft. The ring constricts the flow of blood and traps it within the extended penis, enabling the person to experience an erection.

Anatomy of the Penis

The penile structure is composed of the shaft, head (glans), and blood chambers which are located inside of the penis. The shaft of the penis is formed by overlapping tissues which are composed of spongy tissues and blood vessels. The penile width and length is determined by the thickness of these tissues and how much they can expand when blood rushes into it’s compartments.

The amount of blood that enters the blood compartments determines the size and strength of the erection. The size of the penis is not effected by the frequency or lack of it’s use. However, the penile tissues may become damaged with frequent exposure to abnormally high pressures brought about by ‘exercise’ and vacuum action.

Negative Effects of Using Vacuum Pumps

Vacuum Constriction Devices are usually used for patients suffering from erectile dysfunction. This type of treatment has both positive and negative effects to the patient. One of the positive results of vacuums is that it allows patients to experience erection. Using vacuums however also causes negative side effects such as decreased sensation in the penis, bruising of the penile shaft ,and diminished force of ejaculation, as well as the potential embarrassment associated with using it in front of one’s partner .

Do Vacuums Increase Penile Length or Girth?

Vacuum Constrictor Devices are effective for treating people with erectile dysfunction disorders. These devices, however, are NOT effective for the purpose of permanently increasing penile girth or length. One simple misconception about the penis that has to be corrected is that it is NOT a muscle. Vacuums only serve as a way of increasing or restoring the flow of blood to the penis, and no long term increases in penile length or girth are achievable by using Vacuum Constrictor Devices.

Developments in the fields of medicine science and surgery have made penile enhancement surgery one of the safest and most effective ways of enhancing penile length and girth. A few benefits of penile enhancement surgery include effectiveness and reversibility of the medical procedure. Before making any decision on what type of penile enhancement method you would like to choose, below is a quick glimpse why surgery remains to be the best method.

Autologous Dermal Grafts

Autologous Dermal Grafts is a procedure where skin and fat is taken from a patient’s body and used to augment his penis creating greater penile size and girth. These medical procedures are complex and may require separate sessions for skin harvesting and skin implant to the penile implant.

Penile Enhancement Surgery and Autologous Dermal Grafts Compared

Autologous Dermal Grafts have been widely used as a treatment for replacing lost skin in burns or accidents. These procedures however is not FDA approved for penile enhancement or enlargement. Penile Enhancement Surgery remains to be the only FDA approved treatment for increasing penile size. The FDA has provided guidelines for Penile Enhancement Surgery and only qualified surgeons and urologists are allowed to perform this medical procedure.

Penile Enhancement Surgery usually takes around less than an hour to be finished. They are relatively simple and patients are sent home after treatment. Wounds only take a few days to weeks to heal and patients may resume normal daily activities after a week.

Penile Enhancement Surgery is simple and continues to be the leading medical procedure for penile size improvement. These procedures are done in a clinic by licensed surgeons or urologists. Penile Enhancement Surgery is painless and patients also report pain as being moderate after surgery.

Autologous Dermal Grafts are complex medical procedures and skin tissue implants takes a couple of hours to finish. This procedure also requires multiple surgeries as skin is harvested from one part of the body and transplanted to the penis.

The skin contains nerves and loss of sensation in portions of the body where skin is harvested is expected. Autologous Dermal Grafts require skin and some tissue to be removed before transplant. Pain is also one concern as patients report unusually high levels of pain because of multiple surgeries.

Absorption is common for all types of skin or tissue implants. Patients may report that improvements done with these procedures are lost after a couple of months or years. Penile sizes may return to their original appearance as skin and fats are steadily absorbed by surrounding tissues.

Penile Enhancement Surgery improves penile size by placing implants to augment penile volume. This are placed inside the penis to increase girth and length. Materials used for implants are safe and have been used in other types of cosmetic surgeries such as breast implants.

Dangers associated with any type of implants are allergy and body rejection. These are common side effects for tissue implants even these are taken from the patient’s own body. Penile Enhancement Surgery however uses inert materials or those who don’t react with the person’s body. These make them safe and dangerous complications such as allergy and body rejection is avoided.

Skin Grafts are expensive; they require multiple surgeries and add to the overall cost of treatment. Men who wish to undergo penile enhancement thru Autologous Dermal Grafts must be prepared for multiple surgeries. This does not only cost more but men may also find themselves away from work for longer periods of time.

Dermal Graft

Penile Enhancement could be attempted using dermal grafts from the patient’s own skin and tissues. These procedures are also called Dermal Fat Grafts or DFG. However it is still best for a patient to study all options available before choosing what they believe works best for them.

What are Dermal Grafts?

Dermal Grafts are used for a number of common surgical methods which are practiced for a wide variety of surgical and cosmetic treatments. Dermal grafts are types of skin grafts wherein a part of the patient’s skin is surgically harvested. Skin taken from certain parts of the body is then transplanted to other areas.

There are many types of dermal grafts; split-thickness skin grafts (STSG), full-thickness skin grafts (FTSG), and composite skin grafts. In composite skin grafts, skin, fats and cartilage are taken for reconstruction or enhancement of other body parts.

How is Dermal Grafting Performed in Penile Augmentation?

DFG or composite skin grafts are used by some doctors for penile enlargement procedures. Skin and fat is taken from other areas such as the abdominal or buttocks areas and used as materials for creating a skin graft for DFG. The dermis along with the fat attached to it is preserved and transferred for penile enhancement. Grafts are usually taken from the lower back, lower abdomen or at the top of the legs below the buttocks because these areas are usually hidden. The skin graft is then transplanted and wrapped around the penis to form the desired thickness and length. The area is then allowed to heal until the tissue is settled on the penile structure. The operation leaves scars that may be minimized if performed by a qualified surgeon.

Are there any risks involved when using dermal grafts?

Bruising and trauma due to surgery are expected, and immediately placing cold compresses over the areas could limit these side effects. The surgical areas are usually very tender and delicate, so sexual activities are therefore discouraged until the penis is fully healed. However, urinating thru the penis should not be a problem after surgery.
DFG requires complicated surgery and this type of procedure makes patients more susceptible to infections. Infections can be prevented and treated by antibiotics if necessary.

Is DFG effective for penile enlargement?

Dermal Fat Grafts are partially effective for penile enlargement procedures in some instances. DFG’s long term effects however are mixed and yet to be proven. One major problem reported with DFG is that penile girth and length may well be lost over time as the tissues are absorbed and integrated into the penile structure.

Dermal Fat Grafts (DFG) vs. Alloderm

Patients who wish to undergo penile enlargement procedures thru tissue grafts may want to opt for DFG over Alloderm transplants. This is because of decreased chances of the patient’s body developing tissue rejection. It is also more inexpensive than Alloderm because tissues are taken from the patient’s own body. Results of DFG also typically show a thicker penile composition compared to Alloderm implants. This also translates into fewer surgeries typically required to achieve the desired outcome.

Disadvantages of Dermal Grafts

Dermal grafts offer few advantages as a method for penile enhancement, although there are many disadvantages posed by this procedure. One of the disadvantages is that penile enhancements done by DFG likely will not be permanent. Improvements may well be lost over time as the transplanted tissues are slowly absorbed by the penile tissues.

Another problem posed by dermal grafts is the difficulty of accurately estimating how much tissue is needed to accomplish the desired effect. Therefore, patients may need to undergo a series of operations before the actual desired length and shape is achieved.

The ultimate result of the operation is hard to determine as time is needed before final results are evident. Transplanted tissues for augmentation may appear normal after surgery but may cause an irregular shaped penis or a deformed appearance over time.

Some patients also complain of decreased sensation in the penile area. The risk of nerve damage is always present during surgery. The loss of some functions is also a danger, and carefully studying your options for penile enhancement should always be practiced.

Men have always been fascinated with exploring ways that they can increase their penis size. There are a lot of products on the market which advertise their ability to increase penile size, and it is hard to know whether any of these products really work. Using mass marketed medications or drugs is one popular way of attempting to increase a man’s penile size. The ads are fairly simple and straightforward … they promise that these medications will increase penile size by just taking daily dosages of the drug. But before jumping on the bandwagon, let us first try to understand and learn if these medications really work.

Medications

Drugs contain many chemicals which affect multiple human body functions. In order for us to better understand if these drugs could truly increase a man’s penis size safely and permanently, it is important that we know the effect of the drugs on the body.

Drugs effect only the rate at which existing biological functions proceed. Drugs do not change the basic nature of these functions or create new functions. Medications only speed up natural body processes. With regard to it’s effect on a man’s penile size, drugs do not increase your penis size … they only speed up or slow down your erectile function.

Drugs cannot restore structures or functions already damaged beyond repair by the body. For people who may have been involved in an accident and experienced lost function, or suffered trauma to their sex organs, there are no medications which can repair or replace these structures or functions.

Some drugs are hormones, such as insulin, thyroid hormones, estrogens, or cortisol. They can be used to replace hormones that are missing from the body. Testosterone is the principal male sex hormone. This hormone is responsible for the development of male characteristics. Testosterone levels, however, do not determine penile length or circumference.

FDA (US Federal Drug Administration)

The FDA is a government agency which is entrusted with protecting the general public’s health by assuring that all drugs are safe and effective regarding the purposes for which they were created and are marketed. It is also responsible for informing the public about the dangers that various medications pose to their health.

One way of knowing if a treatment or medication is truly effective is to verify if it is FDA approved. To date, there are no FDA approved medications for penile size enhancement. The only procedure currently approved by the FDA for reconstruction or cosmetic alteration of the penis is through surgery, such as penile enhancement surgery utilizing a U.S. Government patented penile implant or prosthesis, or testicular enlargement surgery utilizing patented and FDA approved testicular implants.

What is Viagra?

Viagra was first developed as a medication for treating heart disorders. However, during trial studies Viagra was discovered to enhance penile erections. The effects of Viagra should not be confused with increasing penile length and girth. Viagra only facilitates and prolongs penile erection, but does not cure impotence.

Do Drugs and Medication Increase Penile Length or Girth?

The answer to this question is a simple NO. There are many drugs available on the market today which promise a miracle cure for people who wish to increase their penile size. The FDA is yet to approve any drugs or medications which serve to increase penile length and girth. Before considering any form or type of treatment it is always important to consider one’s health and safety.

Psychological Effects of Penile Dysmorphy

Every male at one time or another has questioned the appearance of his male sex organ. This is not abnormal, as men place a high degree of importance on their sexual appearance and performance. There are many factors which affect a person’s perception of a normal penis. Society has sometimes set high standards that men often feel pressured to meet.
Such as “SIZE DOES MATTER”
One of the factors that can affect a man’s self confidence is whether he perceives his ‘manhood’ as being socially adequate or not. Men suffering from Penile Dysmorphy experience psychological problems wherein they can’t stop thinking about perceived flaws of their penis. These flaws may just be minor or imagined, but it disturbs them so much that they are ashamed and are constantly obsessed with improving their penile appearance.

One of the most serious side effects of Penile Dysmorphy is a man’s inability to perform sexually. Men who suffer from these medical conditions feel depressed and ashamed that they cannot achieve an erection, even if stimulated. More often than not there is nothing wrong with their penis, but the problem lies with their “imagined ugliness” or sense of inadequacy.

Signs and Symptoms of Penile Dysmorphy

A strong belief that your penis is horribly disfigured even when it is perfectly normal. Patients who suffer from this are extremely pre-occupied with improving their penile appearance and are never satisfied with their treatment.
Patients who suffer from Penile Dysmorphy undergo high levels of anxiety, and stress affects their relationship with other people, especially of the opposite sex.
A man may become so depressed with his penile appearance that he becomes impotent and unable to perform sexually.

Psychological Effects of Penile Dysmorphy

Penile Dysmorphy is a psychological problem. Like all psychological problems, this disease effects a man’s moods and behavior. Below is a list of some of the psychological effects of Penile Dysmorphy.

Depressed moods

A person suffering from Penile Dysmorphy may feel deep sadness and diminished interest in physical activities. They may also experience sadness due to a feeling of inferiority and inadequacy. This situation can also stop a person from establishing normal social relationships, especially with the opposite sex.
Sexual dysfunction
Persons suffering from Penile Dysmorphy may also experience impotence or other sexual disorders. The problem may be traced to a person’s state of mind which affects his attitude towards sex. Patients who suffer from Penile Dysmorphy could have a normally functioning sex organ, but his attitude towards himself prevents him from performing sexually.
Guilt or Obsession
Penile Dysmorphy may cause a person to experience unwanted thoughts that continue despite a conscious will to stop them. This in turn causes the person to feel deep anxiety which affects his ability to perform normal daily activities.

Anxiety and Fear

People experiencing Penile Dysmorphy may suffer from periods of depression and low self esteem. This leads patients to find safety in the company of others. Relationships with other people are based on their physical and emotional needs.

Treatment and Management of Penile Dysmorphy

Like many psychological disorders, factors which cause Penile Dysmorphy remain unclear. Psychologists believe that social influences can contribute towards the development of the disorder. Like any type of psychological disorder, Penile Dysmorphy may be treated by counseling and drugs. The best way however is by treating patients with a combination of counseling and drugs.

Counseling

Behavioral therapy may consist of educating the patient about Penile Dystrophy and how it is treated. Counseling includes discovering, challenging and changing the patient’s negative ideas. Treatment is administered by allowing the patient to voice his negative feelings. They are then told to analyze their own incorrect ideas and made to realize that these are wrong.

Drug Therapy

Patients who suffer from Penile Dysmorphy are treated with medications similar to those suffering from depression. The drugs control the person’s mood and emotions, giving them a more stable state of mind.

It is important to remember that self medication by using drugs is always discouraged. Medications and drug therapy must be closely supervised by a qualified health professional. Drugs don’t only cure, but also have negative side effects on the body. These drugs ,when not properly supervised, can cause other complications such as drug dependence and abuse.
